The San Francisco Bay Area General Secretariat was founded to regulate Cursillo in the Bay Area prior to the formation of the National Cursillo organizations.
We are Cursillo representatives to both the Archdiocese of San Francisco and the Episcopal Diocese of California.
We are made up of members of the various local organizations (secretariats) within the immediate Bay Area. This included Marin, San Francisco/San Mateo, Spanish, Filipino and, most recently East Bay Anglican and Kairos Outside.
We are here to make sure that our weekends are held regularly and that they follow the basic Cursillo guidelines.
We also offer assistance as needed and keep the movement alive and thriving in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Meetings are held at 7:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of each odd numbered month at Mission Dolores Rectory, 3321 16th St., San Francisco. All interested individuals are invited to attend.
Any agenda items should be submitted to the chair, Sue McNaughton, at least 48 hours prior to the appropriate meeting.
Meeting consist of reports from each of the local secretariat representatives, a treasurers report, Cursillo at St. Anne’s (CASA) updates and any other items that may be appropriate. Generally, these meetings end no later than 9:00 a.m.
